yes, yes, and yes
Busy morning.
I’m getting caught up on some weekend campaign business before heading out to knock doors. You can probably imagine how I’m feeling right now with only 9 days left until Election Day.
The pressure is high. Time is running out. My to-do list is long. And the success of this entire operation comes down to what we do in these final days.
However, when you spend almost two decades on Navy combatant ships, you learn to keep a cool head under pressure. So, yes, yes, and yes:
These final 9 days will decide this race. VA-02 is a toss-up, and toss-ups are won or lost on the margins.
This race will decide who controls the House. Democrats need to flip just three seats, and there’s no path to a majority that doesn’t run through Hampton Roads.
MAGA spending in VA-02 has already topped $8 million, and they will keep pouring money into this race until the polls close.
I remain undaunted.
But I’ll admit there’s one challenge that is daunting me a bit: We’re STILL short of our weekly fundraising goal. That money pays for the turnout machine reaching voters in every corner of Hampton Roads. Doors knocked, phones called, rides to the polls. If we come up short, those are the voters we don’t reach.
I’m so grateful you’ve been with this campaign since the beginning. We’ve come too far together to leave anything on the table now.
Yours,
Elaine Luria
